What Is Argireline?

Argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-3 or acetyl hexapeptide-8) is a synthetic peptide designed to reduce the appearance of expression lines and wrinkles. Often referred to as topical Botox, it works by relaxing facial muscle contractions without the need for injections.

Argireline interferes with the SNARE complex, which is essential for muscle contraction. By inhibiting this complex, it reduces the intensity of facial muscle movements that cause dynamic wrinkles, particularly around the forehead and eyes.

While Argireline is not as powerful as Botox injections, clinical studies have shown it can reduce wrinkle depth by up to 30% with consistent use over 30 days. It works best on expression lines caused by repeated facial movements.

Argireline is most effective at concentrations of 5-10% and works well when combined with other peptides and hydrating ingredients. Apply to areas prone to expression lines.
