Aristotelia Chilensis Seed Oil

Aristotelia chilensis seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the Chilean wineberry, a fruit native to South America. The oil is composed primarily of fatty acids including linoleic and oleic acid, along with polyphenolic compounds that contribute antioxidant properties.

In skincare formulations, it functions as an emollient and skin conditioner, helping to soften and smooth the skin surface whilst supporting the skin's natural moisture retention. Its lightweight texture makes it suitable for incorporation into serums, moisturisers and facial oils.

The oil's emollient properties work by forming a protective layer over the skin, which reduces transepidermal water loss and helps maintain hydration levels. The fatty acid composition is similar to those naturally present in skin, making it compatible with the skin barrier.
