Hesperidin methyl chalcone is a synthetic antioxidant and a derivative of the bioflavonoid hesperidin, which is found in citrus fruit.
Research has shown that applied topically, hesperidin methyl chalcone helps protect skin from UV damage, though it is not an approved sunscreen ingredient. Studies also show it is a soothing ingredient that possesses calming and anti-redness properties.
