What Is Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil?
Prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil is a non-volatile, non-fragrant plant oil pressed from the kernels of apricots. The oil is primarily composed of fatty acids oleic and linoleic acid, as well as vitamins A, C, and E. Linoleic acid helps improve skin’s ceramides, which play a vital role in maintaining skin’s barrier.
Applied topically, apricot kernel oil has moisturising and skin-restoring properties, as well as anti-ageing properties thanks to its antioxidant content.
