What Is Resveratrol?

Resveratrol is a potent polyphenol antioxidant found naturally in grapes, berries, and red wine. It belongs to a class of plant compounds called stilbenes and has gained significant attention for its anti-ageing and protective properties.

As an antioxidant, resveratrol neutralizes free radicals and helps protect skin from environmental damage caused by UV exposure and pollution. It has been shown to activate sirtuins, proteins involved in cellular longevity and stress resistance.

Resveratrol also inhibits tyrosinase, making it effective at brightening skin and fading dark spots. Its anti-inflammatory properties help calm redness and irritation while supporting overall skin health.

For optimal stability, resveratrol is often combined with other antioxidants like vitamins C and E and ferulic acid. Apply in the morning under sunscreen for environmental protection, or at night for its regenerative benefits.

. Known as the longevity molecule, resveratrol is sourced from grape skin, blueberries, raspberries, and various plants including knotweed. It is recognised for powerful antioxidant and anti-ageing properties that strengthen the skin's natural antioxidant defence system to neutralise free radicals.
