What Is Tea Extracts?
Tea extracts are derived from Camellia sinensis leaves, with different processing methods yielding green, white, black, or oolong tea extracts. All forms contain catechins and polyphenols with powerful antioxidant properties.
Green tea extract is particularly rich in epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), one of the most potent antioxidants known. White tea, being less processed, retains the highest levels of these beneficial compounds.
Tea extracts protect against environmental damage, reduce inflammation, and have been shown to help protect against UV-induced skin damage.
